About the Role
Palm Beach Electronics is looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our growing team in South Florida. We work on high-end residential projects where accuracy, organization, and attention to detail matter. We're looking for someone who understands electrical construction and can confidently take a project from plans and specifications to a complete, accurate estimate.
Responsibilities
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs
- Prepare accurate estimates, budgets, and proposals
- Obtain and compare vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Identify scope gaps, potential conflicts, and cost-saving opportunities
- Prepare pricing for revisions and change orders
- Coordinate with sales, project management, purchasing, and field teams
- Maintain organized estimating documentation and project records
- Help ensure projects are properly scoped and priced before they move into production
Requirements
- 3+ years of electrical estimating experience
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, materials, labor, and installation practices
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience performing takeoffs and building estimates from the ground up
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
- Comfortable communicating with vendors, contractors, and internal teams
- Dependable, organized, and able to take ownership of your work
Nice to Have
Experience with luxury residential construction, lighting and lighting control, generators, low-voltage systems, or smart-home technology
